Today I saw my best friend for the first time in a long time. We first met when I was two and she was four at dance class. Our moms instantly became great friends and so did we. We spent a lot of time together during the summer outside of dance. They moved away to Zachary, and we didn't see them much after that. During the flood, my mom called them to ask if they were okay, which they were, and they decided to make plans to meet in the near future. We had lunch together today and I was ecstatic to be catch up with my best friend.
I know how you feel because I have a friend that I rarely get to see, but when I do I'm overjoyed. I like how you included your mom and her mom's relationship too because it gives a sense of how close you two really are.
