As book one of the Selection series concludes, it leaves me wanting to read the next book. After many conflicts including America's ex-boyfriend, Aspen, becoming a guard at the palace, Celeste, one of the Selected, provoking other contestants, and another rebel attack on the palace, Prince Maxon decided to narrow down the nineteen selected women remaining down to six, now known as the Elite. One thing I liked about this book was the author, Kiera Cass, explaining certain moments in vivid details throughout the book. She does a great job of explaining America's awe in all of her new discoveries in the Illean Palace.
Another thing I loved, yet hated, about this book was how the author always left the reader wanting to know more; to continue reading. For example, when Aspen saw America for the first time since the Selection had begun, not much was said about their initial meeting, so I wanted to continue to find out what would happen between Aspen and America. At the end of the book, no conflict had been resolved, it just ended. This book was left on a huge cliffhanger, and I can't wait to read the next book in the Selection series.
